Happy Birthday Lamar!

Lamar turned 26! His Birthday was Monday and we had a really good day! We spent the weekend in Blanding with his parents and they celebrated his birthday on Sunday. It was nice to be away and spend some time with them! We drove home that night and then on Monday we celebrated at home. I took him to the movies and dinner and Baked him a new recipe, Chocolate Peanut Butter cake! Yummy! Lamar got his gifts from me and the family! He got clothes from my mom! (Thanks Mom) Then he got the "big" gift which was very exciting for Lamar... his photo bag that he has wanted for a very long time!! He is going to school for Photography and loving every minute of it. If you want to see some of his work check out his website: http://whitehorsephoto.blogspot.com/ I am so proud of him and all that he is doing. He is working really hard at school and does an amazing job with the new skills he has learned. I love you Lamar and I am so happy to have you in my life. I can't imagine life without you! Hope you had a wonderful Birthday!

My Second Job!

Yes, some weeks I have two jobs! I met this family through my other job and they asked me to start watching their little girl for them at nights when they work. I was worried because I am with Kids all day, and I thought it would be too much to get done with 8 hours with 4 year olds and then Nanny for 6 hours at night. But....this girl and family are so great and have truly been a blessing in my life! I am so grateful when things are bad to take a minute and look at the things in my life that have really helped me get through some rough times. I am grateful for this beautiful girl and her wonderful parents.

I Bake????

Why yes, I do bake. I have really been trying to cook lately for Lamar and my family to get some good ideas when we one day have our own house. Lamar wanted a homemade chicken pot pie so I busted out some long lost skills and POW!! Everyone said it was wonderful!! So far, I can make Taco Soup, Beef and Potatoes, Chicken Enchiladas, Twice baked potatoes, Chicken and Shrimp Stir Fry, and the best darn BBQ Chicken! More to come, I didn't take pictures of the other stuff but I will remember to do that next time. Have a great night everyone! :)

I'm Back!!!!

Hello Everyone!
I know it has been a really really long time since I have been on here. I have been busy with work, holidays and being sick. I just wanted to say I'm here and everything is going pretty good for Lamar and I. Lamar is really enjoying his photo classes in school and he is doing an awesome job. I just added his blog on here so check out some of his pics! I only have about 4 1/2 months left for this year for work and I can't believe how fast it has gone. I am grateful that I still have my job and that we are able to continue to live with in my parents basement so Lamar can go to School full-time and get some of that out of the way this year. I promise I will try and update this thing a lot more until then here are some pics! :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

From My Little Pilgrims!

This is a picture of my class eating their "Pilgrim Feast."

On that note, I wanted to say I am Thankful for my job and even though I complain I am so glad I get to see and be around these cute kids everyday. I am Thankful for my family and friends who have been there for Lamar and I and supported us through many things. During times like these it is so nice to have people around you who are truly there through thick and thin! I am Thankful for my health and glad I have my husband there next to me every morning when I wake up. I hope everyone has a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Twilight Premiere!!

So, Thursday around 11:40pm, Lamar picked me up from work. We headed to the Twilight premiere. He was driving really fast cause he didn't want us to be late. (I know how sweet)...not! All of a sudden I see flashing lights!! A cop totally pulled us over!! I was about to cry cause Christmas is coming and on top of that stress we were going to have to pay for a ticket. Well, the cop asked Lamar why he was in such a hurry and I quickly said..(more like yelled)..."We are going to the Twilight Premiere!" The cop looked in at me and said, "oh really where?" I told him the district and he took Lamar's license and then when he came back he said, "Okay Lamar will you drive slow even though you are late"?" HE LET US GO ON A WARNING!! I then thought to myself I know he has a wife or girlfriend who reads the books and maybe doing the same thing as us!! HAHAHA I was so happy Twilight saved the day. We finally made it to the movie! My sisters and mom were anxiously waiting for us. (LOVE YOU GUYS!!)Oh and my sister has all the rest of the pictures, so if you want to see them check out her blog. I was a little nervous and skeptical about the special effects and stuff but towards the middle and end Edward..who I was not sure about WON ME OVER!!! Yes I said it...he won me over! The Prom scene was my favorite!! And more... It was a good night and I am glad Lamar and I were able to go!! Bring on New Moon...Enough said...

Pumpkin Carving fun and a few party pics!~~

Lamar and I are trying to make a tradition to carve pumpkins every year the night before Halloween. My sister, Hayley decided to come and join us and they both did a fantastic job on their pumpkins! (Lamar calls them punkins) Halloween night was a lot of fun!! My sister had a party at her house with all my siblings and nieces and nephews. I am only posting a few pictures cause I didn't have my camera and I stole two from my sister. I know she is going to post all about the party so I will let her show the rest! Hope everyone had a fantastic Halloween!

HSM3 Finally made it to the Big Screen!!!

Last night I took my two nieces, sister, David and my mom to go see the Midnight showing of HSM3!! We had a blast. The girls, Hayley and I went out to eat before we left for the movie with Lamar and then around 10:45pm we headed downtown to the Gateway Theater!! It was awesome, there were kids everywhere wearing their HSM3 gear! My brother got himself a nice little pink shirt and it was funny to see everyone's reactions to him. (haha) We took a lot a pictures and then the movie started at Midnight!! It was great and I loved every single minute of it. I am going with my older sisters and the girls again tonight!!! It was a very fun night as you will see in all of our pictures!!

First Americans For Obama!

I am not a huge political person and I don't get into the debates that most people get into however, If I had to choose I would choose Obama. I don't have an intelligent answer but I have always liked him and after watching this video I like him even more. No, I was not affected by the things that Native Americans went through, but I have learned of things through my husband and his family especially all of the things his wonderful mother went through growing up. I have such a respect for the Native American people and admire their strength especially the strength of my wonderful mother in law. She didn't graduate from High School, but just a few years ago decided to go back and finish. Last year she graduated with her MASTERS in Special Education. She always talked about her journey through life with me and things her and her family had to suffer through. I admire her and these wonderful people I have had the privilege to learn about. I do believe they need to be heard and Obama will make that possible.

Abbie, Connor, Cydnee, Chase, Jaxon, Riley, Kalli, Isabelle, Katie, and Baby Kamryn!!!

This last weekend was UEA for me so I had it off. I decided to spend the day on Thursday with my sister and her two darling little girls. We went to the mall to do some shopping and then we watched the girls play in the little "Dino playground". They had so much fun and I really enjoyed watching them play! I really love all my nieces and nephews and I have so much fun playing with them. I try to do it as often as I can... when their parents will allow it of course. ;o) Sometimes I forget that they belong to my siblings and I need to back off a bit. :o) I am sure when I have my own kids I won't be able to spend as much time with them so I like to take advantage of it. My brother just had a new little baby on October 7th and she is darling! All my nieces and nephew's have something special about them that I love. So I wanted to take a minute and say what I love about each of them.

Abbie, I love how you are so helpful at home and I love to hear you occasionally smirk at stuff I say. Connor, I love how you always want to learn new things and how everything seems to be an adventure with you. Cydnee (my partner in crime) I love how no matter how ridiculous the idea might be (going to East High in the middle of the night) you are willing to do it with me. Chase, I love how you are never too old to hug and you enjoy having me around. Jaxon, I love how you sing to me! You take your time to sing every note perfectly. I love how you always tell me you "loves my hair". Riley, you are such a great big brother. You are so good to your sister and always help your mom. I know you will always make sure they are safe. Kalli, I love how no matter what you will always hug Lamar when you first see him. You are always so happy and full of life, especially at our "Girls Night Out" (singing all the songs to HSM2). Isabelle, you are so smart and I have loved all of our many phone conversations. Katie.."Bye Bye" you always smile at me and I love that you are loud and scream (sorry Stacey) you make me laugh!! And last my little Kamryn, I love that already you will not let people mess with you. When that nurse took your blanket off, you told her what is up by screaming in her face!! You are a beautiful little girl and I am so excited to get to know you and find out more special things about you that I will love. You are also special to me cause I know not too long ago you were playing with my children (your cousins) and I know they are anxious to see you again.

These children mean the world to me. I know my brother always throws it in my face that one day I made the comment, when all the kids were in the same house that it "was good birth control", but I truly love them all. My Sister's and Brother along with their husband's and wife have raised some of the most special and amazing little children I have ever come in contact with. I can only hope that one day when I have my own kids I will be able to do as good a job as they have.

"Special Day"

Lamar and I were Married a year ago Yesterday. It has been a wonderful year. Although we have had some tough times as well as Happy times, we made it!!!Yesterday Lamar and I were able to get sealed together for Time and all Eternity! It was a beautiful day just like last year. The sky was clear and the sun was shining. We worked so hard for this day and we are so happy we finally made it to this point in our lives. I love my husband, he has been there for me through everything. He is a wonderful man, and no matter how many struggles he has faced and no matter how many times he might have fallen he always got back up and kept going. I admire his strength and love for this gospel. If we had not been through all that we have been through I don't know if we would've appreciated yesterday as much as we did. To be able to finally walk in those Temple doors hand in hand with Lamar was an experience I will never forget. I am looking forward to our future together. I love you Lamar and I am so grateful I will have you by my side from now until forever.

Rufus at the Park

Last Sunday was a really good day for Me and Lamar, so we decided to take Rufus to the park to run around for a little while. It has been a long time since we went to the park and I was probably way more excited then Rufus was. As soon as we said "go to the park" he was jumping around and flippin out. We took him to the park and I don't think he knew what to do with himself. He was sniffing all the "other" dog smells and having a blast!! Finally we found a bench and took some pictures of him because he was so tired. We sure do love "our little guy". Love you RUFUS!

Hi baby! This is my favorite look that he gives me.

He had his tongue out the rest of the day!

I think Lamar was trying to get a nice pic with Rufus and the sunset

He is precious to us!

Attention all HSM lovers! ( I might be the only one)

Here is a new video of HSM3 from E! Entertainment. I was waiting to go to bed and then all of a sudden Ryan Seacrest announced a video of HSM3! So I love this video because you can here the song that Gabriella and Troy sing together!! I LOVE IT. Watch and enjoy!

What a WEEK!

I have had a major busy week. Guess what??? I started back to work and I am so thankful for that. Lamar has decided to finish school and I am so proud of him for that. He is going to go to school full time and then work during the "twilight" hour! (hehehe) Sorry, I still have "Twilight" series in my head. Anyway, we are going to have a lot of changes financially, but I know it will be worth it for him to go to school and he is so excited about it. With him working at DHL it took so much of his time, that he was not able to go to school. It was a hard decision for him to make, but he decided that school was way more important and will be better for us in the long run. Next, I finished reading "Breaking Dawn" on Sunday and I loved loved loved it. (that's all I will say for now) My sister and I went to the Barnes and Noble party and waited for our book at midnight. It was great! I wore my wedding dress. haha I thought to myself when am I every going to wear it again. So, I put it on which took FOREVER and went to the party. Since I didn't win the prize I took it off so that I could relax for the next 20 minutes until I got my book. That was a good idea considering there were a million people there. I had soo much fun!

These are "Our Wedding Rings" you all know who the groom is! ;o)

I am showing off my "goods" for Edward! I mean Lamar (i'm just playin)

The "Young Womens" crew! Look good ladies!

Hayley and Nicole, Don't they look pretty! :)

Happy Birthday Derik!

We had a BBQ with Lamar's family for Derik's (Lamar's Brother) birthday and it was great. We have not seen Lamar's parents in awhile so it was good for all of us to get together and be with each other for a bit. Lamar's family is awesome and I really enjoy spending time with them. His parents are so sweet and kind! They are always so encouraging and supportive of Lamar and I. It was so nice to be able to be around them today. Here are some pictures of our fun filled evening.
